Housing Paralegal Job Description

Gemini Recruitment is seeking a skilled Housing Paralegal to join our client's Housing team. As a Housing Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in providing assistance to landlords and tenants on various housing issues.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist with casework, including dealing with public and private housing cases, such as homelessness, disrepair, eviction, possession, and property ownership disputes.
  • Attend clients, take instructions, and prepare cases.
  • Deal with correspondence and maintain accurate time costing procedures.
  • Implement recommendations made by supervisors following monthly file reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with file management.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate passion and experience in a broad range of publicly funded Housing Law.
  • Hold a strong academic background with a Law degree.
  • Have legal experience as a Housing Paralegal/Advisor.
  • Display a clear understanding and application of Housing Laws.
  • Exhibit business acumen and the ability to market the Company.
  • possess excellent communications skills to work effectively with all types of people.
  • Have excellent analytical and organisational skills and the ability to use own initiative but know when to seek guidance.
  • Be a committed team player, self-motivated, and professional.
  • Have excellent IT Skills - familiar with Microsoft Office applications and document management skills.
