About the Role

The Lodge Health Partnership is seeking a skilled Medical Coding Specialist to join our Coding and Summarising Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring that patient records are up-to-date and accurately coded on our EMIS Web clinical system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scan, input, and accurately code daily communications to record medical information in patient records.
  • Prioritise and distribute patient information and correspondence via electronic document management.
  • Ensure S17/S47 safeguarding forms are completed, filed, and sent to the relevant team in a timely manner.
  • Produce and maintain an accurate coded medical summary.
  • Ensure all essential history held in paper records is recorded in electronic records.

Requirements

  • Good sound secondary education.
  • Medical experience.
  • Medical information or medical secretarial experience.
  • Computer-literate with keyboard skills.
  • Basic understanding and ability to recognise significant medical history and problems.
