Job Title: SEND Learning Support Assistant

Leader Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a large SEND School in Sunderland. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with young people and relevant experience in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, ensuring they can access the curriculum and participate fully in school life.
  • Assist with classroom activities, providing necessary accommodations and modifications to meet individual student's needs.
  • Monitor and record student progress, reporting to teachers and adapting support strategies as needed.
  • Support behavioural management, maintaining a safe and respectful school environment for all students.
