Leader Education is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to work within a Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school.

This school works with students aged 11-19 with autism and complex learning needs.

A recent Ofsted rating of 'Good' is underpinned by a dedicated team of professionals who all work together to provide opportunities for pupils to lead fulfilled, happy and purposeful lives.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 16:30 and is a long-term position.

Leader Education are dedicated to ensuring that we find adaptable roles and schedules that work effectively for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
  • Have experience of working in a transferable role.
  • Assist pupils in lessons and activities.
  • Be flexible and resilient, meeting the diverse needs of students.
  • Work effectively with parents, carers, and other members of multidisciplinary teams to provide the best support.
  • Be confident in working alongside students, ensuring they are fully supported within their learning and general classroom activities.
  • Possess communication skills that can be personalised to suit students of different abilities.
