The Troubles Permanent Disablement Payment Scheme is seeking experienced professionals to support the Victims' Payment Board (VPB) in delivering a clinical assessment service.

About the Role

We are recruiting for nurses & allied health professionals who have expertise / experience in a mental health or psychiatric background with more than Four years' post registration experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet face to face both physically and/or virtually or review available medical evidence from applicants to the TPS scheme to determine the permanence of an applicant's condition and their percentage disablement
  • Play a proactive role in seeking insight and further medical evidence as required from GPs, other healthcare professionals or services to support the applicants TPS application
  • Analyse and interpret clinical information and supporting evidence to support your assessment and subsequent structured, evidence-based report for the Department of Justice (DoJ) and the Victims Payment Board (VPB)
  • Compile a comprehensive report in a professional and concise manner, including a detailed history, a full justification and conclusion from evidence gathered to support the Victims Payment Board (VPB) in their decision-making

Criteria

  • A minimum of 4 years' post-registration experience With AYE & PIP qualifications completed
  • Fully registered without sanction or conditions of practice with NISCC
  • Must be based in Northern Ireland
  • A demonstrable background in a Mental Health / Psychiatric speciality
  • Ability to work at pace, set boundaries, manage conversations, and keep to timescales
  • Ability to relate to people from a range of socio-economic backgrounds, races, religions, and cultures
  • Report writing skills with an ability to deal with a high percentage of work using a laptop and IT systems

Benefits

  • A competitive basic salary of £38,500 per year
  • Initial 6 weeks' training and ongoing support provided (Fully Paid)
  • Flexible work patterns – Work between 8am and 8pm, while you'll be contracted to work 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week
  • Hybrid Working – predominantly working from home, with clinic visits required
  • 23 days' holiday

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this role is £38,500 - £41,400.
