About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Night Manager to join our team at the Mercure Gloucester, Bowden Hall Hotel. As a Night Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of hotel guests and staff during the night, while also delivering exceptional service and ensuring a smooth operation of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular security checks to ensure the safety and security of guests and staff
  • Manage the Front Office team to ensure excellent service and high standards of customer care
  • Conduct nightly audits to close the day's business and ensure accuracy
  • Set up conference rooms and events, including weddings
  • Recruit, train, and develop the Night team to ensure exceptional guest experience
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in a similar managerial night auditor role with knowledge of Front Office management systems such as Opera
  • Previous Front Office experience in a supervisory/management capacity in a Mid-scale or Luxury property
  • Previous customer service and general computer experience
  • Knowledge of the local area
