Night Residential Support and Security Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Night Residential Support and Security Officer to join our team at Hartpury University and Hartpury College. As a key member of our Wellbeing and Residential Support Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safeguarding of our students and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Head of Safeguarding, Wellbeing and Health in ensuring the university fulfils its statutory duties regarding safeguarding.
- Work closely with internal teams and external agencies to provide practical support and assistance to staff raising concerns.
- Deliver training workshops and awareness-raising sessions to promote a culture of safeguarding.
- Take on line management responsibility for some staff in the Wellbeing and Residential Support Team.
- Share the 24/7 safeguarding phone with the Head of Safeguarding, Wellbeing and Health.
- Hold a minimum of a Safeguarding Level 3 qualification.
- Have extensive experience of working with young people in an appropriate setting.
- Be able to manage a demanding case load and work effectively with external agencies.
- Be passionate about supporting young people to succeed and overcome challenges.
- Be able to maintain positive relationships with students and other adults.
- Hybrid working arrangements with a blended approach of office and home working.
