SRM Recruitment Limited is partnering with a leading business in Birmingham to find a skilled Finance Business Analyst. This role will involve working closely with senior finance and business managers to provide valuable insights through accurate financial reports and variance analysis.
The successful candidate will be based in Solihull, working a combination of days in the office and from home. The salary on offer is £40-48k per annum, dependent on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis
- Assist with the development and implementation of the company's financial planning and budgeting processes.
- Model and analyze operational and commercial outlooks to inform business decisions.
Business Support and Collaboration
- Provide in-depth analysis and insights to senior business managers to inform strategic decisions.
- Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards to support business growth and efficiency targets.
- Work closely with the Group Financial Controller to ensure accurate and complete financial reporting.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure accurate costing and pricing strategies.
- Engage with finance teams to evolve manufacturing cost analysis and insight.
- Work across supply chain and finance to ensure all non-material costs are captured and included in quotations and orders.
- Perform ad hoc finance duties, including supporting the implementation and testing of new processes and systems.
Reporting and Analysis
- Assist the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis with the reporting of financial performance, variance analysis, and forecasting.
- Assist the Group Financial Controller with reporting of overhead cost base, variance analysis, and anticipation of future resource needs.
- Assist with the preparation of weekly and monthly reports, including provision of commentary and insight.
Key Requirements:
- Business or Accounting degree; CIMA qualification (minimum final year); or equivalent experience.
- Manufacturing background with experience in costing and transfer pricing.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Dynamics BC and Power BI.
- Accurate, detail-conscious, and analytical skills, with experience in data modeling and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex data in a user-friendly format.
- Team player with strong collaboration and influencing skills.
- Responsive, reliable, and results-oriented.
