Job Title: Inspection/Test Engineer

Location: Derbyshire

Salary: Circa 30,000

We are seeking a skilled Inspection/Test Engineer to join our team at Nicholas Associates. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our products through final inspection and performance testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough inspections of our bespoke products to ensure they meet our high standards.
  2. Perform performance testing of prototypes and products to agreed test specifications.
  3. Work closely with internal departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  4. Identify and rectify any faults or defects in our products.
  5. Configure and calibrate equipment to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
  6. Maintain accurate and organized records of inspections, tests, and calibration.
  7. Provide worldwide field support to our existing service team as required.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience as an Inspection/Test Engineer or in an electrical manufacturing environment.
  2. Minimum qualification of C&G or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations.
  3. Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and experience with applicable directives, norms, and standards.
  4. Self-motivated with a flexible and hands-on approach.
  5. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  6. Valid passport holder and clean driving license required for occasional travel.
