Care Home Manager

A highly skilled and motivated Home Manager is required to lead a team of professionals in providing exceptional care and support to residents in a state-of-the-art care home.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing a nursing home and a good working knowledge of CQC standards. They will be responsible for creating and leading a vision for the home to ensure a philosophy of continuous improvement and encouraging the home's journey to 'outstanding'.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to maintain excellent working relationships at all levels, internal as well as external professionals, families and visitors. They will also have a proven record of marketing and business skills within the private care sector, running a commercially successful, good or outstanding rated care home.
The successful Home Manager will receive an excellent salary of £60,000 per annum and a range of benefits including a contributory pension scheme, enhanced rates of pay for bank holidays, paid breaks, comprehensive induction and training programme, opportunities for career development and progression, wellbeing support, refer a friend, uniform provided, Blue Light Scheme, full DBS disclosure paid for and annual NMC PIN renewal paid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage staff and resources to ensure each resident can enjoy a dignified and fulfilling life.
- Work closely with the Clinical Lead and the wider healthcare and hospitality teams to ensure the quality of individual service and care consistently meets high standards and those of our external regulators.
- Create and lead a vision for the home to ensure a philosophy of continuous improvement, encouraging and supporting the home's journey to 'outstanding'.
- Manage people and processes, being a Home Manager is a complex, influential and highly rewarding role involving close liaison with residents, their families, professional contacts and multi-disciplinary teams.
Requirements:
- Previous experience of managing a nursing home.
- A good working knowledge, with a proven record of CQC standards and can work towards achieving Outstanding.
- Good communication skills and can maintain excellent working relationships at all levels, internal as well as external professionals, families and visitors.
- A proven record of marketing and business skills within the private care sector, running a commercially successful, good or outstanding rated care home.
- Enthusiasm and passion for developing high level of person-centred care.
- Ability to actively participate in the growth and development of the care service.
