Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Risk and Governance Specialist to join our team at M Group Services. This role will play a critical part in supporting our risk and governance-led function, working closely with our compliance analysts, reporting analysts, and finance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Develop and maintain our Risk Register, track resolution progress, and compile updates for energy supplier partners.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with Finance to organize accounting of any re-scores, rejections, or other changes.
  • Technical Resolution: Support Reporting Analysts to ensure supplier queries are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with the Risk and Reporting Manager and Finance to provide internal stakeholders with updates on our financial risk position.
  • Regulations and Policy Interpretation: Stay up-to-date with all relevant Government and Regulator guidance, policy proposals, and legislation.
  • Other Responsibilities: Perform any other reasonable duties commensurate with the post, which may be allocated from time to time.
  • Health and Safety: All employees are responsible for their own health and safety and must adhere to our company's HSE guidelines.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and Experience: In-depth knowledge of the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) including scheme rules and compliance requirements.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Reporting and Presenting: Excellent reporting and presenting ability.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Additional Knowledge: Knowledge of other grant-funded retrofit and energy efficiency programs, such as the Green Homes Grant LAD, Home Upgrade Grant, and Warm Homes Fund.
  • Data Analysis Skills: Data analysis skills, including advanced use of MS Excel.
  • Program Design and Delivery: Experience of designing and delivering large-scale consumer programs.
