Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Billing Analyst to join our team, providing critical support to our risk and governance-led function in the Energy sector. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in building and maintaining our Risk and Governance reporting process, ensuring accurate tracking of our ECO risk position.



The successful candidate will work closely with our compliance analysts, reporting analysts, the risk and reporting manager, and the finance team to ensure seamless collaboration and effective decision-making. This role will sit under the ECO Risk and Reporting Manager and can be based in our Sutton or Aylesbury offices, with a hybrid work arrangement available.



Key Responsibilities


  2. Monitoring and Reporting: You will be responsible for updating and maintaining our Risk Register, tracking resolution progress, and compiling updates for energy supplier partners.
  3. Business Partnering: You will work closely with the finance team to organize accounting for any re-scores, rejections, or other changes.
  4. Technical Resolution: You will support reporting analysts in ensuring timely resolution of supplier queries.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement: You will work closely with the risk and reporting manager and finance team to provide internal stakeholders with updates on the financial risk position.
  6. Regulations and Policy Interpretation: You will stay up-to-date with relevant government and regulator guidance, policy proposals, and legislation.
  7. Additional Duties: You may be allocated additional duties commensurate with the post, which will be discussed at the interview stage.
  8. Health and Safety: All employees are responsible for their own health and safety and must adhere to the company's HSE guidelines.


Requirements and Qualifications


  2. ECO Knowledge: You must have knowledge and experience of the Energy Company Obligation (ECO), including scheme rules and compliance requirements.
  3. Organisational Skills: You must have strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  4. Reporting and Presenting: You must have excellent reporting and presenting abilities.
  5. Confidentiality: You must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  6. Critical Thinking: You must have critical thinking and problem-solving skills.


Desirable Skills


  2. Grant-Funded Programmes: Knowledge of other grant-funded retrofit and energy efficiency programmes, such as the Green Homes Grant LAD, Home Upgrade Grant, and Warm Homes Fund.
  3. Data Analysis: Data analysis skills, including advanced use of MS Excel.
  4. Large-Scale Consumer Programmes: Experience of designing and delivering large-scale consumer programmes.
