Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Information Security Officer to lead our global ICT leadership team at Kyowa Kirin, a Japanese pharma group developing innovative specialty drugs. As a key member of our organization, you will collaborate with global stakeholders to enhance data and network security.

About the Role

This is a critical position responsible for implementing and monitoring robust security measures across systems, networks, and data. You will drive the implementation of AI strategies and governance frameworks, establish management frameworks with key stakeholders, and monitor network traffic.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in security operations, incident response, governance, risk, and compliance. They should have experience building and maintaining security systems, knowledge of database and OS security, and hands-on expertise with firewalls, IDS, antivirus, authentication systems, log management, and content filtering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor security measures for systems, networks, and data
  • Create strategy and governance for AI implementation
  • Establish and maintain a management framework with key stakeholders
  • Monitor and analyze network traffic
  • Design and develop detailed cybersecurity architectures
  • Manage the Third Party Risk Management program
  • Implement controls to reduce IT risks in cloud environments
  • Support Information Security Programs and advise on best practices
  • Participate in global and regional IT security initiatives
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Security Engineering or related field required
  • Master's degree in IT, Security, or Data Science preferred
  • Certifications like CISSP, CISA, CISM, or equivalent are a bonus
  • Proven leadership in security operations, incident response, governance, risk, and compliance
  • Experience building and maintaining security systems
  • In-depth knowledge of database and OS security
  • Hands-on with firewalls, IDS, antivirus, authentication systems, log management, and content filtering
What We Offer

Kyowa Kirin offers a competitive salary range of $180,000 - $220,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and generous paid time off.
