Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team in Sherborne. As a key member of the payroll department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payrolls for all school staff.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of supporting multiple businesses with payroll administration, including calculation of tax and NI, pay increases, overtime, bonuses, SMP, SSP, and auto-enrolment. You will also have knowledge of pension schemes and HMRC guidelines.
You will be responsible for performing complex calculations and handling large volumes of data, as well as reporting to HMRC and liaising regarding any queries. Our ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
In return, you will get to join a great school that values the welfare and development of its employees, offering a competitive salary of £13.50 per hour, 6 month contract, Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
