Smart Recruitment Solutions in Yeovil is seeking a highly skilled Payroll and Financial Support Professional to join their team. As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Payroll Department, ensuring the smooth operation of payroll processes.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in payroll administration, with a strong understanding of payroll legislation and procedures. You will be required to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. The estimated annual salary for this position is £13,500.

The role offers a 6-month contract, working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. This is not a term-time only position, offering excellent job security and stability.

You will be based in the Office in Sherborne, working closely with the Payroll Manager to support the transition to a new system. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative support to the Payroll Department, including data entry, calculations, and reporting.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date payroll records, adhering to legislative requirements.
  • Responding to queries and resolving issues promptly, providing exceptional customer service.
