Chief Legal Officer

The Crown Prosecution Service is seeking a skilled professional to support the Director of Public Prosecutions in managing legal services. The role can be based at any of our offices in England or Wales, with regular travel to London.
About UsWe are responsible for delivering justice through the independent and effective prosecution of crime. Our work is supported by the Crown Prosecution Service Board, which plays a key role in achieving organisational objectives and ensuring a high-quality service.
We're looking for a barrister or solicitor with at least 10 years' post-qualified experience in criminal law or civil litigation. You should be an experienced leader, successful in improving casework management and engaging with stakeholders in a complex multi-agency environment. You must be able to provide legal advice and decision-making in the most complex and sensitive legal casework.
