National Sales Director

Proclinical is seeking a dynamic National Sales Manager to lead the strategic and operational sales functions for oncology brands in the UK market. This role involves developing a go-to-market model, recruiting and training a top-tier sales team, and setting plans to exceed sales targets in both private and NHS sectors.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement national sales strategies to maximize revenue from day one.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the Key Account Manager (KAM) team to achieve sales targets.
- Regularly review territory account plans and performance to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Ensure CRM systems and dashboards provide accurate data and insights to inform sales decisions.
- Collaborate with marketing on national tactics and omnichannel plans to drive sales growth.
- Build strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) across the UK to stay informed about market trends and customer needs.
- Identify data gaps and communicate with Market Access and Medical Teams to ensure seamless sales operations.
- Manage territory and national budgets for field-based activities to optimize sales performance.
- Lead the development and execution of quarterly sales meetings to drive sales growth and team performance.
- Establish and agree on the purpose and frequency of field visits to ensure effective sales coverage.
- Focus on coaching individual performance and development to drive sales growth and team success.
- Identify common training needs and develop training plans to upskill the sales team.
- Act as a proactive member of the commercial leadership team to drive sales growth and company success.
- Collaborate on cross-functional in-market projects to drive sales growth and company success.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and the ABPI code of practice to maintain a strong reputation in the industry.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in oncology sales.
- Background in training and/or organizational development to drive sales team performance.
- Experience launching oncology products in the UK market to drive sales growth.
- Degree in life sciences or related field to demonstrate expertise in the industry.
- ABPI qualification to demonstrate knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
- Strong product, therapy area, and competitor knowledge to drive sales growth and team performance.
- Proven track record in account planning, project management, and delivering sales targets to drive sales growth and company success.
- In-depth knowledge of the NHS environment and stakeholder engagement to drive sales growth and team performance.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and influencing skills to drive sales growth and team performance.
- Experience in engaging and developing KOLs in oncology to drive sales growth and team performance.
- Proficient in creating onboarding programs for new hires to drive sales growth and team performance.
- Ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences to drive sales growth and team performance.
