Role Overview
Peabody is seeking a skilled Handyperson to join our Specialist Housing Management team. As a Handyperson, you will play a crucial role in supporting the practical needs of residents by providing a minor maintenance service and completing regular fire alarm testing and health and safety checks.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform tasks such as weekly fire alarm testing, basic plumbing work, minor re-decoration, and furniture repair or any basic DIY jobs.
- Knowledgeable of safety protocols and procedures related to maintenance and repair work.
- Commitment to delivering excellent customer experience, including the ability to work alongside vulnerable people and build professional relationships.
- Able to work across a broad geographic region, have a driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Requirements
- Previous housing sector experience and familiarity with using an iPad/mobile phone and email for work-related tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
