Job Description

We are recruiting for a Transportation Team Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our pallet network. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in logistics and transportation management, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Main Responsibilities
  • Network Management: Supervise and coordinate pallet network activities to meet client requirements, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Logistics Planning: Develop and implement effective logistics strategies to optimize transport efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • IT System Utilization: Leverage technology to book and track transport, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of goods.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively address any logistical challenges that arise, maintaining excellent customer relationships.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to tachograph legislation and maintain a safe working environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Logistics Expertise: Proven experience in managing pallet network operations, including HGV Driver/Staff management.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Outlook and Internet-based systems, with ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Driving Licence and Geography: Possession of a valid Cat B car driving licence and geographical knowledge to navigate efficiently.
Working Conditions
  • Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:30 - 19:30 (Normal working hours), with occasional overtime on Saturdays.
Remuneration and Benefits
  • Salary Range: £33,000.00-£35,000.00 per year.
