Job Title: Apprentice Maintenance Operator

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Operator to join our team at TheWiseSeeker. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our school's maintenance and cleaning services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out general maintenance and cleaning duties to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety throughout the school site.
  • Perform basic plumbing and carpentry tasks as required.
  • Assist with grounds maintenance, including gardening and landscaping.
  • Escort contractors on-site and ensure that all work is carried out to a high standard.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of our swimming pool, including water testing and chemical management.
  • Support the maintenance of our minibus fleet.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role or relevant industry.
  • Strong plumbing and carpentry skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Advanced DIY and maintenance skills, with a 'can-do' approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, contractors, and students.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including out-of-hours emergencies and call-outs.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
