Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our team at Sonnenburg Electronic AG. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of all plant, machinery, and ancillary equipment at our manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair electronic control systems, sensors, data acquisition systems, and instrumentation
  • Assist in the implementation of a proactive planned maintenance culture
  • Respond to breakdown situations and make competent decisions to achieve necessary repairs to minimize downtime
  • Work flexibly to undertake electrical/electronic diagnosis and repair to plant and machinery as necessary
  • Participate in a continuous improvement process to create and influence a lasting cultural change within a traditional manufacturing environment
  • Involved in process plant, installation, and industrialization projects to modify equipment at the design stage to suit manufacturing processes
  • Support our plants in Asia and Eastern Europe as required
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the factory
  • Work within a maintenance budget/cost control
  • Ensure a safe working environment at all times

Qualifications and Experience

  • HND in Engineering/Degree in an Engineering-related subject
  • BEng Electronic Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an Electronic Engineering role
  • Experience of working in a highly manual repetitive production line environment, preferably within the automotive sector
