Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled groundworker to join our team at Actemium EV, a dedicated business unit providing EV charging solutions. As a groundworker, you will work alongside a team leader and another groundworker to install ducting, kerb lines, and concrete bases in preparation for our electrical team to install cabling and EV chargers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use a CAT4/GENNY4 for cable avoidance.
  • Read and understand construction drawings.
  • Operate trench rammers, road saws, handheld breakers, and other equipment.
  • Excavate and reinstate trenches through various types of soft ground, concrete, tarmac, and block paving.
  • Install twin wall ducting, draw pits, and precast concrete bases.
  • Build shuttering and cast complex concrete bases on site.
  • Install NAL sockets, crash protection, and lighting bollards.

Requirements:

  • Punctuality and a strong work ethic.
  • Motivation to produce high-quality work.
  • Ability to work away from home during the week when required.
  • Good team player with a willingness to learn.
  • CSCS, CPCS/NPORS, and experience working on CDM sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Full UK driving license.
  • NRSWA.
  • 360 excavator ticket.
  • Dumper ticket.
  • HSG47.
