Civils Team Leader

Actemium EV is a dedicated business unit focused on EV Charging solutions. We are currently seeking a hard-working Civils Team Leader to head up a team of groundworkers installing ducting, kurb lines, and concrete bases in preparation for our electrical team to install the cabling and EV chargers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and work with a team to ensure projects are completed in line with the program and to our high standard.
  • Use a CAT4/GENNY4 for cable avoidance.
  • Read and understand construction drawings.
  • Operate 360 excavators, Dumpers, trench rammer, road saw.
  • Excavate and reinstate various trenches through soft ground, concrete, tarmac, and block paving.
  • Install twin wall ducting.
  • Excavate for and install draw pits.
  • Install precast concrete bases.
  • Build shuttering and cast complex concrete bases on site.
  • Install NAL sockets, crash protection, and lighting bollards.

Requirements:

  • Punctual and hard working.
  • Motivated to produce a high standard of work.
  • Able to work away from home during the week when required.
  • Good team player.
  • CSCS, NRSWA, SSSTS, CPCS/NPORS, HSG47.
  • Able to understand and make use of construction drawings.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Experience working on CDM sites.
  • Experience supervising small teams.
  • 360 excavator experience with relevant accreditation.
  • Proven experience trenching through and reinstating various surfaces.
