Welcome to the BBC Broadcast & Media Systems Technical Operator Apprenticeship - Level 3 in Bristol. This apprenticeship is designed to provide you with the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in a dynamic and creative industry.

As a Technical Operator Apprentice, you will be working alongside experienced professionals in the Media and Broadcast sector. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining the technical equipment and systems used in the production of TV and Radio programs.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Operating camera equipment and ensuring high-quality footage
  • Managing the technical aspects of live broadcasts and events
  • Working with the broadcast team to ensure seamless transitions and smooth program delivery
  • Developing your skills in audio and video editing software
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting technical equipment and systems

You will also have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and programs, including live events, documentaries, and drama productions.

To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you will need to have a strong interest in the Media and Broadcast sector and be passionate about delivering high-quality technical support. You will also need to have excellent communication and team-working skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and think critically.

The BBC offers a comprehensive training program, which includes on-the-job training, mentorship, and access to industry-standard equipment and facilities. You will also have the opportunity to work with experienced professionals in the industry and gain a deep understanding of the technical aspects of broadcast and media production.
