Senior Quantity Surveyor

Join Russell Taylor Group Ltd as a Senior Quantity Surveyor and take on a challenging role that requires expertise in managing disputes, identifying areas of risk, and developing strategies to minimize WIP (work complete not invoiced).
About the RoleAs a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing contractual frameworks, handling disputes, and identifying opportunities to improve cost management procedures. You will also be involved in pre and post-contract administration, including preparing cost plans, estimates, and measurement for bills of quantities. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing all contract communication, including Early Warnings, Project Managers Instructions, and Compensation Events.
Key Responsibilities- Manage disputes and potential disputes through negotiation, collaborative working, and escalation
- Identify areas of risk and develop strategies to minimize WIP
- Handle contractual frameworks and standard form of contract
- Identify opportunities to improve cost management procedures
- Monitor and measure actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure
- Pre and post-contract administration, including preparing cost plans, estimates, and measurement for bills of quantities
- Manage all contract communication, including Early Warnings, Project Managers Instructions, and Compensation Events
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a BSc in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, experience as a project QS in a Contractor or Sub-Contractor organization, and working knowledge of NEC and JCT forms of contract. You will also need to have multi-site experience, be able to hold responsibility for a project, and have practical communication skills. Additionally, you will need to be able to travel to and be part of site teams, and have a full UK driving license.
