Job Summary:
DCT Recruitment is seeking a skilled Senior Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to manage costs and enhance value for money on a project in the Shotton Paper Mill. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Quantity Surveying and a minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all costs related to the project, from initial calculations to final figures.
Minimize costs and enhance value for money while achieving required standards and quality.
Track variations to the contract that may affect costs and profitability.
Provide advice on contractual claims and identify, analyze, and develop responses to commercial risks.
Carry out full construction take off, prepare construction cost plan, track costs and labor efficiency throughout the project.
Prepare and negotiate subcontractor and supplier contracts and manage through to final account.
Prepare timely and accurate assessments/payment certs/payless notices for sub-contractors each month.
Prepare and submit valuations and final accounts.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
Minimum 5 years of Quantity Surveyor experience in MEP projects.
Commercial knowledge.
Preferable to have Factory or Industrial Plant Experience.
Working Hours:
Monday-Friday
Salary:
£00 per hour
