About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Doncaster, a category B prison located in Doncaster. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, and implement treatment options.
  • Undertake medication rounds and assess patients with complex mental health conditions, providing evidence-based care and support.
  • Assess patients' health needs using a sound clinical framework, including risk assessment and management.
  • Provide outstanding patient-centered care, seeking feedback and acting on it to ensure personalized and informed care.

Requirements
  • Qualified Mental Health Nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
  • Experience of working with patients with complex mental health conditions, face-to-face.
  • Experience of psychosocial interventions, group work, and awareness of substance misuse.
  • Sound clinical knowledge and assessment skills, including risk assessment.
