Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sourcing Manager to join our team at NHS Supply Chain. As a key member of our Sourcing Team, you will be responsible for managing all contracting activities, ensuring plans are delivered on time and in line with relevant procurement regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage contracting activities to ensure plans are delivered on time and in line with procurement regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to develop and manage frameworks across a wide portfolio of medical products.
  • Utilize procurement skills and stakeholder management techniques to contribute to the management of category areas by supporting the delivery of category strategies, sourcing strategies, and ongoing contract management.
  • Ensure suppliers provide all relevant data during the tendering process.
  • Potential to undertake line management responsibility.

Requirements

  • Public Sector experience.
  • Experience of using e-procurement systems.
  • Organization and time management skills.
  • Demonstrable public procurement & sourcing experience.
  • Experience of working in a busy fast-paced environment with agreed SLA's.
  • IT literate, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good understanding of commercial models.
  • Must participate in online and face-to-face training and development opportunities.
