Job Title: Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer

Premier Engineering is seeking a talented Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Lydney, Gloucestershire. As a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing bespoke mechanical products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical products using CAD software, such as SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to bring design projects from concept to completion.
  • Produce technical drawings and documentation for design and project reports.
  • Liaise with manufacturing providers to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Update 3D models and drawings, and input parts into the MRP system to create BOMs.
  • Check drawings for sign off and work in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects.
Requirements:
  • BSc/BEng qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software, including SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to carry out mechanical calculations and work well individually and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and a keenness to develop with the company long-term.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office.
