We are seeking a skilled Wooden Boat Craftsman to join our team at Avon Boating Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our historic wooden vessels.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in traditional boatbuilding techniques, including carvel and clinker construction. They will be able to demonstrate their knowledge and experience of working with wood, as well as their ability to tackle complex projects using their own judgement.

The role will involve a range of tasks, including the repair and replacement of hull planking, floors, frames, and steam-bent timbers. The successful candidate will also be required to work on general fitting out, caulking, seaming, sanding, painting, and varnishing.

As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including the restoration of our classic passenger vessels. They will also be required to work on electric-drive technology and may be sent on the BMET course at a later date.
