Job Title: Adults Lawyer

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Adults Lawyer to join our team at Law Staff Ltd. As an Adults Lawyer, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and representation to vulnerable clients in a range of community care and Court of Protection matters.

About the Role:
  • Challenging assessments and care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients
  • Ensuring local authorities comply with their safeguarding duties and responsibilities
  • Identifying judicial review challenges and potential Court of Protection cases
  • Acting for clients in Court of Protection proceedings, including those with litigation friends or family members
Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out casework efficiently and effectively, with a focus on client care and satisfaction
  • Analysing complex legal matters and advising clients on the best course of action
  • Communicating clearly and regularly with clients, including regular updates and progress reports
  • Dealing with all routine correspondence, negotiations, and advocacy on behalf of clients
  • Ensuring accurate and timely recording of time spent on casework, including billing and payment
  • Meeting the requirements of the Legal Aid Agency, including CCMS and other funding requirements
  • Staying up-to-date with general legal developments and best practices
  • Undertaking administrative tasks as required, including supervision and reporting
  • Working to targets and deadlines, with a focus on delivering high-quality results
