Primary SEN Education Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support students with a range of additional needs in a local primary school.
As a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers to implement education plans and adapt learning materials to meet each child's unique needs.
Responsibilities and Tasks- Provide individualized support to students with varying levels of need.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement education plans.
- Assist with personal care, mobility, and other daily tasks as required.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to teachers and SEN coordinators.
- Promote social and emotional development, helping students build confidence and positive relationships with their peers.
- Work collaboratively with other staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly within an SEN setting, is essential.
- A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent, is preferred.
- Understanding of SEN best practices and strategies for supporting children with additional needs.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and a caring attitude.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different school environments.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) is required.
- Competitive pay rate: £30,000-£35,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
