About the Role

Leeds City College is seeking an exceptional individual to lead our A Level programmes as a Course Director. As a key member of our academic team, you will be responsible for delivering and assessing essential knowledge and understanding to learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Deliver inspiring sessions across the curriculum using a wide range of teaching methods.
  • Develop and employ effective assessment activities for identified modules.
  • Assess student work, provide constructive and timely feedback to motivate and inspire learners to improve.
  • Manage and promote restorative practice approaches and the strengthening of relationships.
  • Role model and promote a positive image of the college.
  • Comply with all legislative and regulatory requirements.

About You

You will hold an Honours Degree in a relevant subject and have relevant experience in teaching these subjects to 16-18 year-olds up to level 3. You will also hold a L5 Teaching Qualification (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE).
