About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team in Swindon, covering CAMHS in south Wiltshire. As a Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to young people and families, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical input to the Neurodevelopmental Clinic
  • Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to young people and families
  • Develop and implement services across the patch, including medical education and supervision
  • Contribute to the development of our CAMHS services, including the i-Thrive model and Mental Health Support Teams in schools

Requirements
  • Eligibility for Section 12 (Mental Health Act 1983) Approval and Approved Clinician status
  • Eligible for Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Registrar in a psychiatric speciality; OR within six months of achieving registration at the time of interview
  • Excellent knowledge in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Experience of effective multidisciplinary team working
  • Experience of effective multiagency partnership at work
