Salary:$60,000 - $80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Job Description:

Toxic Materials Manager Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of radioactive waste and stockpiles at our site.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • To own the strategy for radioactive waste management across the site
  • To lead in the promotion of the waste hierarchy and its implementation across the site;
  • To own the arrangements for Characterisation, Consignment, and Storage of radioactive materials
  • Accountabilities:
  • Ensure effective management of radioactive waste to minimize risks and costs
  • Develop and implement strategies for waste reduction and minimization
  • Foster collaborative relationships with stakeholders to promote efficient waste management practices

Key Performance Indicators:

- Effective management of radioactive waste

- Successful implementation of waste hierarchy strategies

- Efficient storage and handling of radioactive materials

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans
  • Desirable Qualifications:
  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Environmental Science, Chemistry, Physics)
  • Professional certifications in nuclear waste management or a related field
