Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with diverse needs at a secondary school on The Wirral.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEMH, ASC, and ADHD within the school.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Help students access the curriculum and participate fully in school life.
- Work closely with teachers and the SEN team to adapt learning materials and strategies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Use your expertise to manage and de-escalate challenging situations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with students with SEMH, ASC, and ADHD.
- Strong understanding of SEN and the challenges these students may face.
- Empathy, patience, and a nurturing approach.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- A commitment to promoting the well-being and development of students.
- Relevant qualifications and certifications in SEN support.
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
