Instrumentation and Control Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Instrument and Control Engineer to join our team at Orion Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Instrument and Control systems.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support and guidance on Instrument and Control systems engineering, including design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless integration of Instrument and Control systems with other assets.
- Develop and maintain technical specifications, standards, and procedures for Instrument and Control systems.
- Conduct technical integrity audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Manage offshore FPSO construction, maintenance, and materials work.
- Assist in setting budgets and managing expenditure for Instrument and Control systems work scopes.
- Generate scopes of work, detailed cost estimates, and compile maintenance and minor modification work packs for offshore implementation.
Degree in engineering discipline (or equivalent) and relevant engineering experience either onshore or offshore.
Previous experience with ABB ICCS systems, specifically the 800xA platform, is an advantage.
Chartered Engineer or qualifications leading to this are desirable.
Significant experience in Oil and Gas Operations with experience in a similar role is essential.
Demonstrate skills in Instrument and Control engineering problem-solving, particularly with modern microprocessor-based control, shutdown, metering, and Fire and Gas systems.
TUV (or equivalent) Functional Safety Engineer qualification is desirable.
Knowledge of HSE Cyber Security Operational Guidance OG-86 is desirable.
