Job Title: Instrument and Control Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Instrument and Control Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients in the North Sea oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support for field instrumentation, ICSS, telecoms, and F&G systems.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve asset equipment availability and reliability.
  • Act as a subject matter expert during Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and provide guidance to offshore operations.
  • Manage key vendors to produce results through effective supervision, planning, and allocation of work.
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators to drive vendor performance.
  • Utilize SAP CMMS to manage work and review maintenance plans.
  • Undertake offshore visits to ensure the delivery of key scopes and provide support to the assets.
Requirements:
  • A relevant Engineering degree qualification.
  • Current/valid offshore certification.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, directly within the North Sea oil and gas industry.
  • Significant technical knowledge in field instrumentation, ICSS, telecoms, and F&G within the oil and gas industry.
  • Previous systems engineering experience, as well as broad practical field instrument experience.
  • Significant experience in using a CMMS (preferably SAP).
