About the Role
The Outpatient Department at The Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth is a dynamic and patient-focused environment where we strive to deliver exceptional care. As an Outpatient Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring that each patient receives high-quality care, from assessment to evaluation.
Main Responsibilities
- Assess patients and develop individualized care plans, ensuring accurate documentation and communication with the multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in effective communication with colleagues, hospital departments, relatives, and visitors, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to hospital policies.
- Provide evidence-based nursing care, adhering to NMC and hospital guidelines, and ensuring that team members do likewise.
Person Specification
Essential
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration in adult or general nursing.
- Excellent clinical skills, communication, and professional commitment.
- Motivation to self and others, with sound knowledge of current issues in nursing.
Desirable
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, with good organizational and time management skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, with a willingness to support various specialty clinics.

Our Outpatient Department is located in a comfortable and spacious environment, with 25 consulting rooms and a minor procedure room.
