About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Rheumatologist to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our Rheumatology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist care to patients with rheumatological conditions, including inflammatory arthritis and metabolic bone disease.
  • Work closely with other consultants and healthcare professionals to deliver a comprehensive specialist service.
  • Participate in the care of patients admitted under your care and supervise management of such patients.
  • Contribute to the development of our services, including audit and research initiatives.
  • Supervise and teach junior doctors and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • MRCP or equivalent qualification.
  • CCST (or within 6 months of date of interview) or on specialist register.
  • GMC registration.
  • Higher Specialist Training in Rheumatology.
  • Audit experience and ability to advise on efficient and smooth running of a specialist service.
  • Experience of supervising doctors in training and in teaching clinical skills.
