We are seeking an experienced Microbiology Locum Consultant to join our team at National Locums.

Job Details:

This is a locum position with a possible extension after 3 months.

The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and will be responsible for Blood Culture, IPC, Serology, ICU, and other ad-hoc tasks.

They will also be required to participate in a 1:3 on-call rota, covering clinical calls day and night, with flexibility to cover other areas if needed.

Additionally, they will work one Friday per month at CXH Lab.

Requirements:

  • GMC registration and entry on the specialist register are advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience in infectious diseases is required.
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of NHS experience at Consultant level and be able to work independently.
  • On-site presence is mandatory.
