About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our Transmission team as a Power Transmission Placement Programme Professional. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development of power flow and congestion models, support and contribute to critical external stakeholder meetings and engagement activity, review UK transmission policy changes, and assist the team in identifying optimal points of connection for current and future renewable generation projects.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Electrical, power, or renewable energy engineering degree or similar
  • Excellent communication skills with fluent English
  • IT proficiency
  • Organisational skills to manage your workload and meet tight deadlines
  • A desire to work collaboratively with a curious approach, challenging yourself to find new solutions
  • Motivated to take on new challenges, whether operating independently or in a team
  • Knowledge of Python and ideally previous use of power system software such as Powerworld
  • Commercial aptitude and entrepreneurial skills
  • Analytical mind and the ability to learn quickly
  • Enthusiasm and drive to develop your skillset and seek out development opportunities within a supportive team
