Class 1 Night Trunk Driver - Gregory Distribution

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Class 1 Trunk Driver to join our team at Gregory Distribution. This role involves regular trunking operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods across the UK.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conducting safe and compliant trunk runs between designated locations, including Cullompton, Birmingham, Hinkley, and London.
  • Loading and unloading cargo securely, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Performing daily vehicle inspections and maintaining accurate records.
  • Collaborating effectively with network hubs and transport teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Providing excellent customer service by managing expectations and communicating proactively.

Essential Skills:

  • Valid UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
  • Current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Proven experience in trunk driving operations.
  • Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent geographical knowledge and navigational skills.
