About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hydraulic Modeller to join our multi-disciplinary technical delivery team at Arup. As a key member of our global modelling centre of excellence, you will lead a team of junior modellers and be responsible for a broad range of UK projects at all stages, including strategic advice, catchment and city level planning, concept and detailed solutions, and post construction evaluation.

Projects will include wastewater and stormwater catchment modelling studies, developing solutions of all kinds, and supporting design and build frameworks. You will have the opportunity to work across all levels of engineering, science and research, supported by a welcoming and talented team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver wastewater network modelling projects, including model build and flow survey verification, to industry standards and specifications.
  • Develop and review technical reports, models, supporting calculations and deliverables, and assist with bid preparation and proposals.
  • Develop digital tools to enhance, optimise and automate our offering.
  • Collaborate with private/public sector clients and regulators to deliver water projects in the UK.

Requirements

  • Practical experience in hydraulic modelling techniques within the UK water industry, specifically using InfoWorks ICM including Level 1 UPM water quality modelling.
  • Chartered or close to chartership with an appropriate organisation.
  • Strong client relationship management skills and confidence in presenting results, challenges and proposals in a productive, collaborative working environment.
