Arup is a leading global firm that has been shaping a better world for over 70 years. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hydraulic Modeller to join our team in Cardiff/Bristol, working on a wide range of projects across the UK water industry.

About the Role

We are looking for a senior wastewater hydraulic modeller to lead a team of junior modellers and take ownership of project delivery, including setting and managing project programs, budgets, and leading quality assurance procedures. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including wastewater and stormwater catchment modelling studies, and develop solutions for water quality and flood risk benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver wastewater network modelling projects, including model build and flow survey verification.
  • Develop and review technical reports, models, supporting calculations, and deliverables.
  • Assist with bid preparation and proposals.
  • Develop digital tools to enhance, optimise, and automate our offering.
Requirements

We are seeking a practical experience in hydraulic modelling techniques within the UK water industry, specifically using InfoWorks ICM including Level 1 UPM water quality modelling. You will hold a Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related discipline, chartered or close to chartership with an appropriate organisation.
