Job Title: Fund Finance Director

The Fund Finance Director will play a critical role in ensuring the financial aspects of a Fund's activities are executed efficiently and effectively. This includes statutory, administration, accounting, tax, transactions, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Fund priorities, strategic objectives, and events.
  • Assume an active role in supporting business strategy and contribute to determining the financial strategy and cash flow planning, including forecasting.
  • Work closely with Fund Management, Transactions, Legal, Tax & Structuring, and Corporate Finance to ensure the smooth running of all financial aspects in all Fund-specific jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate and work closely with Fund Operations team members to ensure the regular provision of information as required and ensure the timely completion of all tax filings, investor reporting, bank reporting, and the annual audit.
  • Oversee statutory, tax, and regulatory compliance, liaise with other jurisdictions as required, and ensure up-to-date knowledge of tax changes and communicate their impact on the Fund.
  • Manage relationships and delivery requirements with all service providers.
  • Maintain close, positive relationships with counterparts and relevant parties across the Patrizia group to ensure active communication and cooperation.
  • Work with the Compliance Officer on regulatory aspects and ensure the requirements under the UK internal controls framework are applied, supporting the annual renewal and audit process.
  • Deal with challenging aspects of a Fund to ensure correctness of reporting, including audits, tax, structuring, investor admissions, and redemptions.
  • Drive the agenda to ensure Fund priorities are focused on aside from regular work streams.
  • Proactively get involved in cash flow modeling, ensuring financial inputs related to tax and accounting information are appropriately reflected, and proactively get involved in cash upstreaming and cash flow management of the Fund.
  • Focus on critical business transactions (acquisitions, sales, fund launch, troubleshooting) to ensure frictionless operations.
  • Attend Investor Meetings as a representative and on behalf of Fund Operations.
Requirements:
  • UK qualified accountant with significant real estate experience.
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • In-depth knowledge of all aspects, including property knowledge, valuation, modeling, transaction experience, tax/structuring/debt/financial instruments experience, solid accountancy experience, investor reporting experience.
Skills:
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong team working skills/presence with the Fund Manager (ability to add value at a senior level and be recognized as the 'CFO' of a Fund).
  • Strong sensitivity for investor needs and sense of quality.
  • Willingness to assume responsibility for administrative aspects of the Fund.
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic environment, ability to work in multi-dimensional teams.
  • Ability to work beyond pure finance and consider the business as a whole, be strategic, and multitask various inputs and deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure/to a tight timetable.
  • Ability to have attention to detail at all times without losing sight of the bigger picture.
  • Strong Excel skills.
