Overview:

Walker Hamill is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Fund Finance Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing and developing a team of qualified Fund Controllers, Fund Accountants, and junior support staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of Fund Controllers, Fund Accountants, and junior support staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality financial services to our clients.
  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with fund administrators, tax advisors, accountants, lawyers, and investment teams to ensure seamless deal execution and financial reporting.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement a 'best-in-class' fund finance platform to improve financial reporting, forecasting, and analytics.
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the production of quarterly investor reports and accounts, partner statements, capital calls, distribution notices, and fund budgets, forecasts, and analytics.
  • Deal Execution: Assist in deal execution, including liaison with tax advisors, accountants, lawyers, and investment teams.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement new systems and processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the fund finance team.

Requirements:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Fund Controller, Head of Fund Finance, or equivalent, with a strong background in private equity or private credit. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality financial services.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to develop and motivate a team of professionals.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
