Early Years Educational Lead

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Room Leader to join our team at Merchant Square Day Nursery in Paddington. As a key member of our educational leadership team, you will be responsible for implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and leading planning to ensure high-quality experiences for our children.

Key Responsibilities:
- Implementing EYFS Curriculum: Develop and implement a comprehensive EYFS curriculum that meets the needs of all children, ensuring a smooth transition between age groups.
- Leading Planning: Plan and coordinate daily activities, taking into account individual children's needs and interests, to create engaging and challenging learning experiences.
- Deputy Manager Support: Provide support and guidance to the deputy manager as required, ensuring seamless management of the nursery during their absence.
- Staff Supervision and Mentorship: Supervise and mentor room staff, providing constructive feedback and coaching to enhance their skills and confidence.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of quality within the nursery, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in childcare and education.
- Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with current developments in childcare and education policies, sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues to drive continuous improvement.
- Nutrition and Food Safety: Ensure the nutritional needs of children are met, maintaining a safe and hygienic food environment that complies with regulations.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: A minimum Level 3 childcare qualification, with a passion for professional development and a commitment to lifelong learning.
- Experience: A proven track record of experience as a Room Leader or similar role, with a strong understanding of EYFS principles and practice.
- Personal Qualities: A positive role model, able to inspire and motivate children and colleagues alike, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
