Senior Production Manager

Prodrive Advanced Technology is a leader in the design, development, and integration of electromechanical control systems and mechanical system architectures for various industries, including automotive, defense, marine, and renewable energy.

As a Senior Production Manager at Prodrive, you will lead the introduction of new production programmes from bid development to series production, ensuring they deliver margin, quality, and schedule targets.

Key responsibilities include defining and implementing production programme timing, driving manufacturing deliverables, and coordinating production quality planning and quality control teams.

You will work with cross-functional teams to define production requirements for new products, including facility tooling, direct and indirect labour, and facility layout for prototype and production manufacture.

Additionally, you will be responsible for resourcing planning for pre-production builds and production launch, and lead design/manufacturing reviews to drive design teams to achieve build financial targets.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree or other relevant qualification
  • Proven experience in managing large and small manufacturing teams from concept through to production via APQP principles and achievement of PPAP
  • Technical proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to understand and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and levels of the organization
  • Experience in specification of new plant equipment and production tooling for low volume manufacture from conception to completion
  • Experience of manufacturing process implementation and problem resolution with a focus on quality and continuous improvement
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify problems, analyze data, and implement effective solutions
