Job Title: Knowledge Exchange Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Knowledge Exchange Manager to join our team at the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering a range of activities covering Knowledge Exchange and Knowledge Transfer within the Cereals & Oilseeds sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working within the organisational strategy and delivering a range of activities covering Knowledge Exchange and Knowledge Transfer (including conferences, workshops, meetings, webinars and podcasts) within Cereals & Oilseeds, ensuring that expertise and engagement is maintained and enhanced
  • Supporting the Senior Knowledge Exchange Manager to develop new and innovative initiatives to increase engagement with Levy Payers and Stakeholders to achieve the targets set and agreed
  • Delivering projects within the budget allocated, providing accurate and appropriate reporting information
  • Providing levy payer feedback to the wider team and research function to help contribute to the delivery of priorities and requirements
  • Writing and delivering information to promote both the sector and AHDB products and services
  • Being involved in a range of business development campaigns, projects and initiatives, in line with the organisation's strategy, and acting as the first line of contact for levy payers and stakeholders
  • Establishing and maintaining contact with the industry through participation in meetings/events/open days and conferences when needed
Essential Criteria:
  • Detailed knowledge of farming within the Cereal & Oilseeds sector, ideally having gained a BASIS certificate or other technical qualification, although not essential
  • Practical hands-on experience facilitating and delivering Knowledge Exchange activities at farmer meetings and high-profile conferences is desirable
  • Skilled communicator who can speak with authority and write clearly and effectively
  • Confident to work with and lead industry partners
  • Proactive individual with the drive and enthusiasm to develop innovative and effective Knowledge Exchange approaches
  • Excellent project management capabilities
  • Ability to work on their own and as part of a close-knit team
  • Holding a full UK driving licence and ideally living within the North East region
